The Baines #1 SWD is in Section 23 of Township 19 North, Range 5 West, in the northeastern part of Kingfisher County east of Hennessey and near the Logan County line. It is the easternmost of Choate's wells, and for operators working the STACK's eastern fringe — around Marshall, Crescent and toward Guthrie — it is the disposal point that keeps trucks off the long run back to US-81.

The eastern edge of the county
East of Hennessey the country opens up toward the Logan County line, and the towns thin out: Marshall is just across the line to the northeast, Crescent to the southeast, both in Logan County. SH-33 runs east from Kingfisher through Crescent to Guthrie; SH-74 runs north–south through Crescent and Cashion. The Baines #1 sits between Hennessey and that Logan County road network, reachable from either direction on county roads.
